College of Media student leads team to first place award!

Chelsea BettsMSJ graduate student Chelsea Betts recently accepted an award for her communications work with the EcoCar 3 team at WVU. The Communications Team, led by Betts, earned first place for Best Sponsor Collaboration video, during the pre-competition deliverable awards ceremony. EcoCAR 3 is the latest U.S. Department of Energy Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition series, challenging 16 North American university teams to redesign a Chevrolet Camaro into a more environmentally friendly hybrid-electric vehicle, while maintaining the muscle and performance expected from this iconic American car. WVU’s team includes more than 30 undergraduate and graduate students from disciplines across campus.
