American Eagle Outfitters Brand Building Campaign Competition

This semester 8 students from the SOJ are partnering with 8 teams from the College of Business and Economics to enter a Brand Building Campaign for the American Eagle brand “aerie”. We need 3 more students for team placement! If you are interested in participating this semester, please contact Prof. Dana Coester at dana.coester@mail.wvu.edu by Friday, Sept 3rd.

The student teams will be asked to address the challenge of how to position aerie not only as an emerging brand in a defined space, but also as the go-to brand for college age women. Although aerie has established itself as an independent brand, it still faces the ongoing challenge of increasing awareness, differentiating in the market and garnering market share and social media share. Presentations will be required to include the big idea—a breakthrough brand vision that will allow aerie to rise above the competition.
