Financial Aid Opportunities in the MSJ Program

The Reed College of Media offers a number of merit-based graduate assistantships each semester. Graduate assistants teach laboratories and assist professors with their courses and research.

Graduate assistantships are generally granted for an academic year. All students who receive assistantships must re-apply if they want the position for a second year. Graduate assistants work an average of 20 hours per week during the academic year.

Persons who want to be considered for assistantships or internships should have their applications on file with the director of graduate studies in the College of Media before March 1. Visit the MSJ Admissions page for contact information.

Additional information about WVU’s Financial Aid process is available online.
