Tyler Channell joined the WVU Reed College of Media in July 2016. He teaches video editing, visual journalism, and serves as a multimedia specialist for the College’s Media Innovation Center. Before coming to WVU, Channell worked in reality TV production for History Channel’s Hatfields & McCoys: White Lightning and Billion Dollar Wreck, Comedy Central’s Tosh.0, and MTV’s Teen Mom 2. He also won multiple awards for his social justice film For Good, which was featured in the Accolade Global Film Competition in 2015.

Channell received two degrees from West Virginia University, a B.S. in journalism and a M.S.J. from the College of Media.
